This is the original jazzstep drum & bass version recorded in 2000. It was the second song with Anji released as a digital single on the old Love Spirals Downwards mp3.com page. Both the club and radio edit of "Hand in Hand" appeared on a number of compilations under the shortened moniker, Lovespirals. "Hand in Hand" was later redone in 2005 as a fuller vocal version for the Lovespirals album 'Free & Easy.'

In August 2002, Ryan posted on the band blog, "We just added another unreleased new track, called "Hand in Hand," to our mp3.com page. This is the flip side of the "Ecstatic" duplate that I've been including in my recent DJ sets. Once again, it features the sax of Doron and vocals of Anji, and is even more jazzy than "Ecstatic." If you enjoyed "Misunderstood," from Temporal, you're bound to dig this track, too!"
